Senior Associate
Lily studied at McGill University in Montréal, Canada and graduated in three years with a Bachelor of Arts in International Development with a focus on economic development and Political Science.
She was an associate Board Member at WINGS Women of Discovery, the only organisation dedicated to providing unrestricted grants to female explorers across the globe. Lily volunteered her time to brainstorm and plan fundraising events, contribute to the organisation’s financial future, and engage other like-minded individuals in their mission.
Lily also was an ambassador at UNLEASH, an NGO that brings youth together through human-centred design training to address the UN SDGs.
She joined the CPI team in 2021.
Lily is passionate about using new methodologies for addressing problems. Her favourite part of a design process is during the ideation phase. This couples her two favourite things: working with residents and thinking out-of-the-box. On the Bloomberg-Harvard Innovation Track project, their team even used otherworldly prompts to get people engaged such as asking them to imagine they were on the moon!
Lily is also passionate about integrating technology into design processes, especially as we see a greater uptake and interest in new tech such as AI. This particular intersection is compelling to her as it often results in more streamlined processes for residents, less work for municipal staff, and an overall excitement at creating an effective tool by using new problem-solving methodologies.
Lily finds joy in being outside in all forms, but especially being near to the ocean. She also enjoys hiking, learning about regenerative aquaculture, knitting, sauna bathing, visiting the Arctic, and spending time with her partner Spencer.
