our relationship with BCG

The Centre for Public Impact was founded by BCG (Boston Consulting Group) in 2015.

“In our work with governments we observe that there is a significant slippage between policy aspirations and citizen impact. There are many reasons for that and we at Boston Consulting Group believed we could make a contribution to addressing the causes of this failure to deliver the desired impact, but others inside and outside governments could too. That is why we founded the Centre for Public Impact.”

In the decade that has followed, CPI has worked with BCG and other partners to reimagine government across the globe. We still receive a grant from BCG, which supports our core functions and enables us to work innovatively. Today, the majority of our programmes are funded by other partners and donors.
As a registered charity, CPI is independent and our sole purpose is to promote our charitable aims. We benefit from having several senior BCG staff members on our Board of Trustees.
